The Veterinary Act

The Veterinary Surgeons Act was passed in 1966 to protect the welfare of animals.

Any horse being treated using Equine Sports Massage Therapy must have consent from thier Veterinary Surgeon. Additionally the owner or trainer is required to sign a consent form prior to the treatment to say that veterinary permission has been given.

After the assessment and massage therapy session, a case report of the horse is sent to the Veterinary Surgeon.
